Kita sudah mendengar wacana tersebut sejak satu dekade silam. Ditandai dengan terobosan Nokia yang mengeluarkan “ponsel pintar” bernama Communicator dan sempat meledak di awal tahun 2000-an.
Namun, kita semua tahu bahwa komputer mini itu tidak akan pernah bisa menggantikan komputer. Tapi, bagaimana jika sebuah ponsel bisa memiliki kinerja atau akses data yang setingkat dengan laptop? Apakah Anda benar-benar masih membutuhkan komputer? Lihat dulu Atrix 4G.
Ponsel pintar yang terlihat ringkas ini nampak begitu mengesankan. Kali ini, Motorola tidak main-main. Atrix 4G dimodali dengan NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core lengkap dengan sega fasilitasnya. Dalam waktu dekat ia akan beroperasi di jaringan 4G milik AT&T.
Apa saja keunggulannya? Untuk membuatnya berbeda dari jajaran smartphone Android yang ada, Motorola menyediakan layar sentuh TFT capacitive 16 juta warna sebesar 4 inci dengan resolusi 540 x 960, lebih tajam ketimbang iPhone 4 dan BlackBerry Storm 3. Dan, ia telah mendukung HD (high definition).
Di samping itu, ia dilengkapi kamera hi-res berkemampuan 5MP beserta fitur aufotocus dan flash LED. Dan, yang paling menarik adalah dok sebagai sandaran yang akan muncul bersama ponselnya.
Jika dipasangkan pada dok, ia akan terlihat layaknya sebuah laptop. Ketika terpasang, Atrix 4G akan berubah menjadi “computer mode” dan menjalankan interface sistem operasi PC, lengkap dengan Firefox, Adobe Flash, dan sebagainya. Bahkan, pengguna juga bisa mengunduh aplikasi-aplikasi PC seperti pada PC sesungguhnya.
Jika membutuhkan layar yang lebih lebar, Anda bahkan bisa menghubungkannya dengan TV atau media berlayar besar lainnya untuk menjalankan proses komputer. Semuanya bisa dilakukan dengan Atrix 4G.
Atrix 4G akan diluncurkan melalui jaringan AT&T pada kuartal pertama ini. Harganya masih belum bisa diumumkan. Tidak ada keterangan resmi Motorola terkait pemasarannya di luar AS, termasuk Asia Pasifik atau Indonesia.
